Paolo Borghi

Paolo Borghi completed his PhD in 2018 at the Department of Sociology and Social Research of the Bicocca University of Milan (in co-tutorship with the Humboldt University), where he conducted comparative research on collective representation of self-employed workers in Italy and Germany. In 2017-2018, he participated in the European project I-WIRE – ‘Independent Workers and Industrial Relations in Europe. The social dialogue between traditional and innovative forms of collective representation’.

As a member of the SHARE team, he worked as postdoctoral researcher at the Work and Employment Relations Division of the Leeds University Business School (June 2018 – January 2019) and as postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Milan (February 2019 – June 2022). He conducted the qualitative fieldwork in Italy and in the UK. During the fieldwork, in 2018, he was hosted in Rome at Fondazione Di Vittorio (FDV), in 2019, at the Department of Culture, Media & Creative Industries of the King’s College, London, and in 2021 at the Social Policy Research Centre of Middlesex University.

Paolo is currently assistant professor at the Department of Economics ‘Marco Biagi’ of Modena and Reggio Emilia University.
