Rossella Bozzon
Rossella Bozzon held a PhD in Sociology and Social Research at the University of Trento. From 2011 to 2013 she was a member of the ERC project FamIne – Families of Inequalities, and she then started working within the European FP7 project GARCIA – Gendering the Academy and Research: Combating Career Instability and Asymmetries (2014-2017).
Through participation in interdisciplinary research projects, she has developed a scientific profile able to dialogue with different theoretical perspectives and methodological approaches. Her research interests include life courses and labour market transformations, poverty and economic deprivation dynamics, gender inequalities and quantitative methods.
As a member of the SHARE team, Rossella worked as postdoctoral researcher at the Work and Employment Relations Division of the Leeds University Business School (June 2018 – January 2019). She then moved as an assistant professor to the University of Milan, where she has been responsible for the statistical analysis of the project. In particular, she is conducting a study on how the hybrid areas of work are represented, classified, and measured in (official) statistics. She is also carrying out comparative analyses on how changes in (solo) self-employment are affecting social inequalities in Europe.
Rossella is currently assistant professor in Sociology of work at the Department of Political and Social Sciences of the University of Catania, Italy.
